Bucktown

bucktown-chicago-ilLocated just a few miles northwest of Chicago’s Loop, Bucktown has become one of the trendiest neighborhoods in Chicago and as a result, home to some of the most desired real estate in the city.

Over the past decade, the community has rapidly expanded its acclaimed shopping and dining scene, attracting residents and tourists alike. Local shops have survived, thankfully, and co-exist with national big name retailers like Lululemon, Club Monaco and Joie. Restaurants are local and hip.

Bucktown real estate includes a diverse mix of older single-family homes, modern homes, new construction and converted industrial loft spaces. New construction flourished as Bucktown became boomtown through most of the 2000s. Most of the new condo developments and townhouses have a distinctly modern design, and new construction houses range from classic brick walk-ups to over the top estates priced at $4million +, a new price point for this neighborhood.

Bucktown’s trendsetter status makes for some swanky amenities and features, including a number of LEED certified houses. The facades of former bakeries and bars hide the gorgeous interiors of beautiful single family homes and courtyards with ponds and water features. Bucktown is a wonderful place to live for just about anyone – from young professionals, to families, to retirees.
